ADVENTURE AGENDA

SEP 01 TUE ARRIVE JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA 

On arrival in Johannesburg, you are met by our “VIP” representative, who will assist you with immigration formalities, help you collect your luggage and through to the arrivals hall. As you enter the arrivals hall, look for your representative, holding a sign with your name on it. You will be transferred by private vehicle to your hotel.

SEP 02 WED JOHANNESBURG

This morning meet your guide in the hotel lobby for your scheduled full day tour of Soweto and the Apartheid Museum.

After lunch at a local restaurant (on own account), your scheduled activities resume with a visit to the Museum. The museum takes visitors on a fascinating, horrifying, humbling and ultimately inspiring journey from the dark days of ‘whites only’ privilege, through to Nelson Mandela’s historic release from prison.

SEP 03 THU JOHANNESBURG/ HOEDSPRUIT / PRIVATE GAME RESERVE

Today transfer by private vehicle to the airport where you will be met and assisted with check in for your flight bound for Hoedspruit.

You will be met on arrival by your ranger and driven with fellow guests to your safari accommodations. Arrive in time for lunch and a thrilling afternoon game drive which takes you into the night to view the more elusive nocturnal species.

Private Game Reserve is an African Eden, covering thousands of acres of big game territory. The reserve is home to variety of animals, including the iconic Big Five, with vast herds of buffalo, elephant and antelope amid plentiful predators and an abundance of bird life.

ACCOMMODATIONS: RIVER LODGE – Standard suite

River Lodge is positioned along a bend of the seasonal River. Decorated to reflect old Africa, the air-conditioned suites feature full, en-suite bathrooms and private patios with uninterrupted views over the Big Five game reserve. Amenities include fans, hairdryers, mini-bar, safe, telephone, Wi-Fi internet access and tea/coffee making facilities. The central lodge area includes an enclosed dining area, where breakfasts and lunches are served and a bar and lounge with two large fireplaces. Evening meals are often enjoyed seated around a crackling fire in the Rhino Boma, where buffet meals showcase the pan-African dishes. The large rim-flow swimming pool is the perfect place to relax on a lazy afternoon. Activities at the Lodge include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles and guided bush walks, conducted by experienced rangers. All game viewing drives and walks are shared with fellow camp guests. All meals and twice daily game drives are included. (BLD)

SEP 04 FRI PRIVATE GAME RESERVE

Accompanied by highly skilled game rangers, set out on early morning and evening game drives.  Two game drives per day offer an opportunity to see the Big Five and a large variety of smaller wildlife.  The rangers provide interesting information and anecdotes about the inhabitants of the bush.

SEP 05 SAT PRIVATE GAME RESERVE / HOEDSPRUIT / CAPE TOWN

An early morning wake-up call and out into the bush on the morning safari in search of animals not seen the day before.  Return to camp for a hearty breakfast, and then relax until time to transfer to the airport for your flight to Capetown.  On arrival you will be transferred by private vehicle to your hotel for an overnight stay.  The remainder of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

SEP 06 SUN CAPE TOWN

This morning meet your guide in the hotel lobby for your full day excursion to the Cape Peninsula. Embark on a spectacular day discovering the pristine coastline and quaint towns along “The Fairest Cape.”

ACCOMMODATIONS:  HOTEL  – Standard room

Located on Nelson Mandela Square, the Hotel offers comfort and convenience in the heart of the Sandton business and shopping district.  The luxury hotel rooms with a comfortable open plan design, feature en-suite bathrooms and separate shower, HD LCD televisions, individually controlled air conditioning, direct dialing telephone, electronic safe, tea and coffee making facilities, and complimentary internet access.  Dining options within the hotel and nearby cater to all cravings, from fine cuisine to light casual meals.  Take time to dip in the infinity edge swimming pool or sip on a cocktail at the lounge.  Start your morning with a good work out at the gym or simply get pampered in the wellness spa.  SEP 07 MON CAPE TOWN

Continue to the Nelson Mandela Gateway at the V & A Waterfront for your ferry to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years.

Please note: The tour of Robben Island takes approximately 3.5 hours including the ferry trip to and from the Island

SEP 08 TUE  CAPE TOWN

Today’s township excursion offers insight into South Africa’s abundance of hope and creative energy. Meet the people empowering their local communities through grassroots development programs.

Return to the hotel. Later this evening, you will be met by GOLD restaurant and transferred to this unique restaurant.

Dinner is a set course menu consisting of Cape Malay and African cuisine, served by beautifully adorned staff who will explain each dish to you and the country from which it originates.

SEP 9 WED CAPETOWN, SOUTH AFRICA / DEPART

Day of leisure to either explore the malls, beaches or lounge around to prepare for your day of travel to return home.

SEP 10 THU CAPETOWN, SOUTH AFRICA / DEPART

You will be transferred by private vehicle to the airport where you will be met and assisted with check in for your international departure flight. (B)

POLICIES

Register your name as it appears on your government issued PASSPORT.

Payments are non-refundable, which are the same policies of the airlines and for prepaid hotel rates

Payments are non-transferable to another person already taking the trip nor for a different trip, however, name changes are allowed for a $100 name change fee.

Otherwise other plans are available 3 days before departure. It is your responsibility to purchase travel insurance and understand your policy.

Payments are automatically withdrawn as a convenience, cancelling your subscription will forfeit all payments made. No refunds nor credits will be honored.

Final payment not received due to subscription cancellation by the final payment date of July 4, 2020 will result in a late fee of $100 starting 7 days from the due date.  All late final payment requests must be approved by management before the final payment deadline is put on your account.  THIS IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.

No travel documents nor info will be released, until full payment is completed for the group, including late fees. Travel documents will be sent via mail.
